Thermoplastics such as PE, PP or PA cover most standard industrial applications. For extreme temperatures or chemical exposure, high-performance plastics like PEEK or PTFE are recommended. Thermosets are ideal where dimensional stability under heat is required, while elastomers excel in sealing and damping tasks.

What machining options does SENN offer for plastics?

We machine plastics by sawing, drilling, milling, turning, bending, welding, laser cutting and bonding. CNC-machined parts are manufactured to drawing — single pieces and production runs.

Does SENN also supply small quantities and cut-to-size pieces?

Yes, we supply both standard semi-finished products from stock and individual cut-to-size pieces and small batches. For prototypes and samples, please contact us directly.

Which plastics are food-contact approved?

PE, PP, PTFE and certain PA and POM grades are approved for direct food contact under EU Regulation 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR. We advise you on the right material choice.

What are the lead times for plastic semi-finished products?

Standard sheets and rods in PE, PP, PA and PMMA are typically delivered within 3-5 working days from our warehouse in Tyrol. Specialty materials such as PEEK or non-standard dimensions are available on request with individual lead times.
