The Chesterton 800 GoldEnd® Band is a pliable thread sealing tape made of 100% pure, dry PTFE for metal and plastic threads, piping and bolts. It forms a slippery PTFE layer between the threads, seals liquids, gases and pneumatic and hydraulic connections from -240 °C to +260 °C, and prevents connections from seizing. SENN Gruppe supplies the tape as an authorized Chesterton® partner through Sinteca HandelsgmbH ex stock Klosterneuburg, Austria, with or without DVGW approval; each packaging unit contains 12 rolls.

Chesterton ® 800 GoldEnd ® Tape with DVGW approval is a mouldable high-performance sealing tape with high tensile strength made of dry PTFE for use on metal or plastic threads, piping or bolts. It is suitable for application temperatures from -240°C to 260°C and is used as a non-hardening, dry thread seal for most liquids, gases, pneumatic and hydraulic connections. It prevents the seizing of bolts and connections and seals all pipelines and most pipe threads.

What is the Chesterton 800 GoldEnd® Band used for?
The tape serves as a non-hardening, dry thread sealant on metal and plastic threads, piping and bolts. It seals most liquids, gases and pneumatic and hydraulic connections and prevents bolts and connections from seizing.
What temperature and resistance range does the tape cover?
The application range lies between -240 °C and +260 °C. Made of pure PTFE, the tape is chemically inert across the entire pH range 0-14 and resistant to steam, water, fuels, refrigerants, acids, alkalis, solvents and gases such as hydrogen, oxygen, ammonia and nitrogen.
How is the tape wound on?
Wind the tape tightly one to one-and-a-half times around the thread in the direction in which the parts are screwed together. Start at the open end of the thread so that the tape does not unwind during assembly. A single layer is usually sufficient to fill all voids.
Is the tape available with DVGW approval, and in which dimensions?
The tape is available with or without DVGW approval (approval number 96.01e907). Available widths are 6.4 mm, 12.7 mm, 19.1 mm and 25.4 mm; roll lengths are 4.57 m, 13.72 m and 32.92 m.
