Chesterton® 715 SpraFlex® is a self-adhering surface lubricant for chain drives, open gears and wire ropes. The elastic polymer film is not thrown off or extruded, does not drip and re-lubricates automatically with every revolution, even under high load and in wet or contaminated environments. PROPERTIES
Chesterton 715 Spraflex is a surface lubricant for chain drives, open gears and wire ropes. It forms a long-lasting, non-extruding protective layer for equipment under heavy load. The lubricant is non-squeezable, non-dripping, self-adhesive and flexible, resistant to acid vapours and protects against rust and corrosion. Chesterton 715 is used on chains, open gears, wire ropes and cables as well as machinery or underwater environments.

What is Chesterton® 715 SpraFlex® used for?
715 SpraFlex® lubricates and protects open gears and chain drives as well as wire ropes, winches, cranes, conveyor belts, hoists and concrete mixers. According to the data sheet, it is also suitable for textile and paper manufacturing equipment as well as for machines exposed to weather, moisture or processing vapours.
What is the difference between SpraFlex® and SpraFlex® Gold?
SpraFlex® Gold is a 100% active, solvent-free lubricating fluid without chlorinated solvents or CFCs and carries an NSF H2 registration (No. 133930 bulk, 133931 aerosol). Both variants form an elastic, non-extruding polymer film; we are happy to discuss which version suits your application.
How is 715 SpraFlex® applied and which container sizes are available?
The product can be applied with an oiler or oil can with an extended spout, and as an aerosol can also directly. Available are aerosol can (300/350 g), 5 l and 20 l containers as well as a 208 l drum; the gallon (3.8 l) is available for SpraFlex® Gold. The selection is made via the container size in the shop.
Is 715 SpraFlex® water- and temperature-resistant?
The lubricant film is water-repellent and corrosion-resistant (ASTM D 665 A passed) and remains effective even under high pressure. SpraFlex® Gold has a flash point of 138 °C (TCC) and should be stored above freezing point; at lower temperatures, allow some warming time before application.
