Chesterton® 218 HDP is a highly concentrated, near non-foaming water-based alkaline degreaser (pH 13.7) that dissolves stubborn grease, oil, wax and paint soiling from hard surfaces and stays effective up to 82 °C. The liquid form avoids the dust generation and incomplete dissolution of powdered cleaners; thanks to its pronounced demulsibility the product separates out free oils, making it especially suited to spray-booth and tunnel wash systems, floor scrubbers, high-pressure and steam washers. Depending on the task it is diluted with water (light degreasing 2 percent, process degreasing 5 percent, difficult degreasing 10 percent); NSF A1 registered (No. 133943), free of phosphates, EDTA, dyes and fragrances. How is Chesterton® 218 HDP dosed?
The concentrate is diluted with water according to the task: recommended minimum concentrations are 2 percent for light degreasing, 5 percent for process degreasing and 10 percent for difficult degreasing. Cleaning performance can be increased by heating; the product is effective up to 82 °C.
For which materials and conditions is 218 HDP suitable?
218 HDP is designed for hard surfaces in parts and plant wash systems, is corrosion-resistant and fully water-soluble. It is NSF A1 registered (No. 133943) and free of phosphates, EDTA, dyes and fragrances. As the product is strongly alkaline (pH 13.7), consult the safety data sheet before use; on sensitive or porous surfaces a preliminary test is recommended.
