The Chesterton® 276 electronic component cleaner is a fast-evaporating, non-chlorinated cleaner and degreaser for spray-cleaning switches, control switches, panel instruments, circuit boards, contacts and levers. It leaves low residue, contains no ozone-depleting solvents and is suitable for use on all metals; before applying to painted surfaces, plastic or rubber, test on an inconspicuous spot with roughly 15 minutes of contact time. Available from the SENN Gruppe as an authorized Chesterton® partner, ex stock Klosterneuburg, Austria, in canister (20 l), drum (208 l) and aerosol can (250 g).

What is the Chesterton® 276 component cleaner used for?
Chesterton® 276 is used for spray-cleaning electronic components such as switches, control switches, panel instruments, circuit boards, contacts, levers and control panels, as well as for degreasing hard surfaces on equipment, motors and parts. It removes oil, dust, dirt and industrial soiling and leaves only low residue.
Does Chesterton® 276 attack metals or plastics?
The cleaner is safe for use on all metals and compatible with most surfaces. Before applying to painted surfaces, plastic or rubber, apply a small amount to an inconspicuous spot, wait 15 minutes and check the surface for chemical attack or softening.
How is Chesterton® 276 applied and stored?
The product is used undiluted and can be applied as a spray, with a brush or by immersion; it must not be diluted with organic solvents or water. Store at temperatures below 38 °C and away from ignition sources; the shelf life is two years from manufacture in unopened containers.
Is Chesterton® 276 suitable for work on electrical installations?
Chesterton® 276 is used for degreasing non-energised electrical equipment; the installations to be cleaned must therefore be de-energised. The product has a flash point of -6 °C (ASTM D 93) and is flammable, so the usual precautions for flammable liquids apply. Consult the safety data sheet before use.
