NSF H1 grease (NLGI 2) with 10x corrosion protection and first-class water resistance, -30 to 204 °C.
Chesterton® 625 CXF is an NSF H1 registered high-pressure grease of consistency class NLGI 2, based on white USP mineral oil with a sulfonate-complex thickener that does not melt. It resists wash-out by water, alkalis and steam (wash-out below 0.05% per ASTM D 1264) and provides roughly ten times longer corrosion protection than conventional food-grade greases. Operating range -30 °C to 204 °C; above 170 °C more frequent re-lubrication is required.

Chesterton 625 wird Nahrungsmittel-, Pharmazeutika- und Getränkebranche, Verarbeitungs- und Verpackungsmaschinen, Flaschenabfüllanlagen, Früchtezuführungen, Pasten- und Soßen-Abfüllanlagen, Konservierungsmaschinen, Fleischverpackungsmaschinen und Kartonfüllmaschinen eingesetzt.

What is Chesterton® 625 CXF?
Chesterton® 625 CXF is a high-performance grease of consistency class NLGI 2, based on white USP mineral oil with a sulfonate-complex thickener that does not melt. It combines high-pressure properties, excellent corrosion protection and high water resistance, and is NSF H1 registered (Reg. No. 138414) as well as FDA-compliant for incidental food contact.
Where is Chesterton® 625 used?
It lubricates guides, sliding surfaces, bearings and bushings, ball and roller bearings, grease-lubricated chains, gears, cams as well as couplings and splined shafts. Typical fields of application are plants in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, such as bottle and carton filling machines, conveyor belts and can machines, at DN values up to 500,000.
For which temperature range is 625 suitable?
The recommended operating range is -30 °C to 204 °C. Above 170 °C more frequent re-lubrication is required. The drop point is 318 °C, so the grease does not melt or run off within the recommended operating parameters.
How well does 625 protect against water and corrosion?
625 CXF resists wash-out by water, alkalis and steam; wash-out is below 0.05% per ASTM D 1264. In the corrosion test per ASTM B 117 (5% NaCl) it withstands over 1000 hours at 50 µm film thickness and provides roughly ten times longer corrosion protection than conventional food-grade greases.
