Chesterton® 630 SXCF is a fully synthetic PAO-based high-pressure grease with a sulfonate-complex thickener that resists washout even under heavy water flow, steam, alkaline solutions and hygiene cleaners. It is NSF-H1-registered (Reg. No. 138415) and FDA-compliant per 178.3570, making it approved for direct lubrication in food, beverage and pharmaceutical plants — from bottle- and carton-filling machines through conveyors to grease-lubricated chains and rolling bearings. With an operating range of −40 °C to 240 °C and a drop point above 318 °C, it does not melt out and stays shear-stable.

Chesterton 630 CXF wird in der Nahrungsmittel-, Pharmazeutika- und Getränkebranche, Verarbeitungs- und Verpackungsmaschinen, Flaschenabfüllanlagen, Früchtezuführungen, Pasten- und Soßen-Abfüllanlagen, Konservierungsmaschinen, Fleischverpackungsmaschinen und Kartonfüllmaschinen angewendet.

What is Chesterton® 630 SXCF used for?
630 SXCF lubricates guides, sliding surfaces, rolling and plain bearings, bushings, grease-lubricated chains, gears, cams, couplings and splined shafts — especially in plants with food contact such as bottle- and carton-filling machines, conveyors, mixers and canning machines. It is suited to any application where conventional grease is broken down by shear forces, temperature, shock loading or water.
Is Chesterton® 630 approved for food applications?
Yes. 630 SXCF is NSF-H1-registered (registration number 138415) and meets FDA regulation 178.3570. It is tasteless and odorless, non-staining and contains no animal fats or heavy metals, making it approved for the production of food, beverages and pharmaceuticals as well as meat and poultry processing.
What temperature range does 630 SXCF cover?
The operating temperature range is −40 °C to 240 °C; above 180 °C more frequent re-lubrication is required. The drop point is above 318 °C, so the grease does not melt or flow out. The consistency corresponds to NLGI grade 2.
What is the difference between the aerosol can and the cartridge?
The lubricant formulation is identical. The 285 g aerosol can is suited to spot lubrication of hard-to-reach points and quick maintenance, while the cartridge (400 g) and 18 kg container are intended for grease guns, manual application or centralized lubrication systems.
