The Chesterton® 740 high-performance rust preventive is a durable, corrosion-inhibiting protective coating for metal surfaces that are continuously exposed to humidity and corrosive vapours and that receive no critical surface preparation. The translucent brown film protects metal tooling, semi-finished parts, stored parts, pumps and structural steel indoors, and provides up to two years of corrosion protection under sheltered outdoor storage. It does not flake or peel, seals fine scratches by itself and resists acids, alkalis and salt-laden vapours.
