Water-based, biodegradable industrial degreaser, NSF A1, phosphate-free, highly dilutable.
Chesterton® 820 KPC is a water-soluble degreaser concentrate that removes oil and grease residues, soot, metalworking fluids and lubricant film from most metals, without chlorinated solvents, caustics, phosphates or petroleum distillates. The green concentrate, infinitely miscible with water, is mixed at 1 to 30 per cent depending on the degree of soiling and works considerably faster at 60 °C to 82 °C. Suitable for manual cleaning, dip tanks and ultrasonic baths in heavy industry, manufacturing and maintenance.

What is Chesterton® 820 KPC and what is it used for?
Chesterton® 820 KPC is a water-based degreaser concentrate for industrial cleaning. It dissolves oil and grease residues, soot, exhaust residues, metalworking fluids, lubricants as well as animal and vegetable fats, and is used in heavy industry, manufacturing and maintenance.
Where and how can the product be used?
The concentrate is suitable for manual cleaning, dip tanks and ultrasonic cleaning. It is safe to use on most metals. At elevated temperatures of 60 °C to 82 °C the cleaning process is considerably faster, especially with stubborn soiling.
How is Chesterton® 820 KPC diluted?
The product is a concentrate and is mixed with water depending on the soiling: general cleaning and soot at about 5 per cent, light oils and processing fluids at about 3 per cent, heavy grease at around 15 per cent, waxy layers up to 30 per cent. Determine the exact mix via an application assessment; we are happy to advise you on this.
Is the product safe and environmentally compatible?
Chesterton® 820 KPC is non-flammable (no flash or fire point), biodegradable, phosphate-free and free of chlorinated solvents, caustics and petroleum distillates. The pH of the concentrate is 9.9 (moderately alkaline); it is NSF-A1-registered (No. 133963). Read the safety data sheet and local regulations before use.
