Polypore fibers are used, among other things, as reinforcement in low-temperature applications. When added to concrete, they can, for example, increase fire resistance, reduce shrinkage cracks, and improve durability.

Polypore fibers can also be burned out, creating capillaries in the concrete products. This serves, for example, for use as filters, for weight reduction, or for improving insulating properties.
