In 2009, in response to numerous customer requests, RBS Kompensator GmbH was founded as a wholly owned subsidiary of KS Kneissl & Senn Technologie GmbH under Senn Beteiligungs GmbH.

Building on existing expertise in temperature-resistant high-performance fabrics, the company began manufacturing these fabrics by hand in Erl in the form of soft fabric expansion joints as individual items. Gradually, various sewing and welding machines were purchased in order to be able to manufacture all common shapes (round/square/round to square, etc.) in the best possible way.
