Austrian Biomass Day 2026 in Linz

The 26th Austrian Biomass Day takes place in Linz on 1 December 2026, followed by the Heating Plant Operators’ Day on 2 December.

The Austrian Biomass Association invites you to the 26th Biomass Day on 1 December 2026 at the Seminarhaus auf der Gugl in Linz. This will be followed by the Heating Plant Operators’ Day on 2 December at the same venue.

The most recent Biomass Day took place in November 2024 in Bruck an der Mur, with around 300 participants and 35 exhibitors. In January 2026, the industry gathered at the Central European Biomass Conference (CEBC) in Graz.

An example from Alkegen (formerly Unifrax) illustrates what matters in a boiler. In a biomass boiler, the roofing material expanded, cracked and broke off. The operator chose Thermbond 7206 and cast the roof panels on site, 200 mm thick and measuring 2.3 by 2.5 metres. Installation took place on 9 and 10 August 2017. After two and a half years, the plant was still operating flawlessly. The manufacturer cites rapid drying, quick reheating and improved expansion behaviour as key advantages.

We are Alkegen’s distribution partner for Austria and manufacture conveyor chains in Erl. Our fork link chains, also known as Redler chains, are used in biomass power stations, amongst other applications.

We accept enquiries regarding maintenance, spare parts and refractory materials for heating plants and boilers via the contact form on our website.
