Superwool boards: three types for your application

Prime, Plus HS and HT B+: Morgan is reorganising its range of low biopersistent high-temperature boards. We tell you which board fits which job.

The right board depends on the application. Temperature, thermal cycling and the place of use all play a part.

Morgan now offers its low biopersistent Superwool® high-temperature boards in three types.

The Prime Board is the high-temperature board with a classification temperature of 1300 °C. It replaces the Superwool HT (more on this). It fits when maximum temperature is the main criterion. Typical uses are ceramics, glass, iron and steel and the chemical process industry.

The Plus HS Board is the versatile back-up insulation. It replaces the Plus Board and runs at 1100 °C. Typical uses are back-up linings, furnaces and processing equipment.

The HT B+ Board is made for cyclic duty, that is, for plant that heats up and cools down often.

The boards are used in glass, steel, ceramics, boilers and the chemical process industry. Choosing starts with your operating conditions.

We keep the old names HT, HT2, HT LB and Plus Strong so you can find your current board. Tell us temperature and use, and we name the right board.
