Temperature Resistance
Depending on the material, temperature resistance is up to 1260 °C.
Additional Inner Layer
Additional inner layer for compensators made of mineral fiber or fiber mats.
Long Service Life
We use materials that have been tried and tested over many years for long service life.
Properties
RBS insulation pads are used as additional layers in the flow channel to increase the temperature resistance (up to 1000°C) of fabric expansion joints. The outer layer is always the fabric expansion itself and the insulating cushion is installed as an additional inner layer in the flow channel. For these products, we use the same materials that have been tried and tested over many years as for our expansion joints or bellows and extend them with inner layers made of mineral fiber or higher temperature-resistant Fiber mats, depending on the specific application.
Advantages
- Temperature resistance
- Additional inner layer for fabric compensators
- Made of mineral fibre or fibre mats
- Materials proven over many years
- Long service life
Fabric types
Fiberglass fabric: Either with PU or silicone coating on both sides is suitable for a temperature range of 250 - 550°C.
Silicate fiber fabric: With aluminium coating or vermiculite coating for temperatures up to approx. 1000°C, often used in steelworks and foundries due to its temperature resistance.
Ceramic Fiber Fabric: With metal reinforcement (INCONEL wire) suitable for temperatures up to approx. 1260°C, has a high tensile strength.

Since 2001, KS Kneissl & Senn Technologie GmbH
has been producing insulation materials and seals for a wide range of applications up to a temperature range of 1600 °C. A diverse range of machinery (CNC 5-axis milling, plotting, punching, sewing, water jet cutting, vacuum forming, etc.) enables us to shape a wide variety of materials for you. The main materials include: glass fibers, aramid fibers, mineral fibers, biosoluble fibers, ceramic fibers, silicate fibers, vermiculite, calcium silicate, microporous materials, elastomers (rubber, silicone, silicone foam, etc.), etc.
The company has been ISO9001 certified since 2009, currently in accordance with the 2015 revision of the standard.
