What is MAFTEC R?
MAFTEC R is a high-temperature-resistant ceramic fiber insulation mat made of pure mullite fiber that can be used at temperatures up to 1600 °C. It is manufactured without binders, is needled on both sides, and offers excellent thermal insulation, strength, and chemical stability for industrial applications.
Up to what temperature can the MAFTEC R be used?
The maximum operating temperature is 1600 °C. For continuous operation, a temperature between 1300 °C and 1500 °C is recommended, depending on the application. The mat remains dimensionally stable, soft, and tear-resistant.
What is the MAFTEC ceramic fiber mat used for?
It is used in industrial furnaces, kilns, foundries, high-temperature filters, and thermal insulation.
What densities and thicknesses are available?
MAFTEC Blanket is available in densities of 96 kg/m³ and 128 kg/m³. Standard thicknesses are 6 mm, 12.5 mm, and 25 mm. Special sizes are available on request.
